Working strategically through Rails upgrades

In the past few years, I’ve seen a huge improvement in how teams upgrade their Rails apps. Instead of starting a new branch and seeing where it goes, we can now use tools like Bootboot to do Rails upgrades alongside everday development. This lets us do Rails upgrades incrementally.
