This was actually released in the autumn of 2009, but was making the rounds on blogs a decade ago this week as more people discovered it. InfoEther and Mark Gardner released a very comprehensive Ruby on Rails whitepaper which covered everything from the current state of the framework, estimated developer population, to the community and ecosystem.
