Hands-off eclipse photography with ruby and gphoto | Rubber Ducky

For the 2024 eclipse, my wife and I decided to make the trip from Stockholm to Texas to get a chance to witness it. Being a photographer, I also wanted to try my hand at shooting the event.At the same time, I knew that totality would only last for about 3.5 minutes, and I sure didn’t want to spend all of it staring at my camera. So I decided to automate the process.
